Or that is the story I got. Currently we pay about $98/month to Verizon for the two phone lines. I think we get 5 gigs to split. My phone dies when it gets to 40% battery so its probably about time for a new one. What do you guys recommend for phones and providers? no apples. We’d like good phones but we certainly don’t need to spend crazy money on the fanciest stuff. We both have Droid Maxx 2 phones

Switch to Google Project Fi. Buy their Pixel line, not the Pixel 2 XL yet, though. Or do. Best customer service I’ve ever had. Great phones. I can give you a referral link if you want.

+1 for project Fi and the first Pixel. Great phone, the Android experience on it is very nice. I’ve had no issues with reception, and average around $50 per month.

Really pleased with my One plus 5t so far, and I’m using TING, a T-Mobile/Sprint MVNA, so far the pay for what you use billing has me at about $30/mo, and I’m frankly surprised how good T-Mobile’s coverage is out here in northern Vermont.

I’m paying $40 for 5 gigs with Cricket. If you switch to them you could be getting 5 gigs EACH for $80.

Yeah, but they suck....
Well, for me it’s price. Right now, the Pixel and Pixel XL (we have the Pixel XL) are on sale, and they’re fantastic phones. I love mine. The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are new late last year, still full price. They also have the Moto 4 if you just need a good but not amazing phone, and it’s quite reasonably priced.
I see little to no reason to go with the Pixel 2/2 XL over the Pixel 1 XL. It’s so good...

Ah. They just went on sale last week, so I guess that happened....

pixel 2 seems to be a great phone, but my coworker is having problems with his second one. whoever he bought it from never questioned his concern with the first one and gave him a new one. Another issues is hes had to bakc up his latest phone and do factory resets twice. then redownload everything.

I still have two of these in a box somewhere. Lightly used.

I had one of those that I ran over with my car by accident, in a snowstorm. By a small miracle, I found it, and of course it worked. The screen was a little wonky but it worked fine. I also used it as a bottle opener, because you could just chip off the corner of the case and it wouldn’t matter. I kind of miss it.
